Guide - Quattro Filler Maintenance
- Daily: clean dispense taps with Bio Guard; empty the header tank every night.
- When refilling the tank, discard the first 8 bottles filled.
- Bi-monthly (every 2 weeks): full header-tank sanitisation with 30ml Bio Guard.
Daily Maintenance
Clean dispense taps using Bio Guard (use appropriate PPE and follow EcoPure Waters guidance).
Emptying the Header Tank Every Night
1. Close the water feed isolator (left-hand side, under the tank).
2. Open the drain isolator (right-hand side, under the tank).
This drained water can be used to fill bottles rather than sent to waste:
1. Close the water feed isolator.
2. Fill bottles as normal until the water runs out.
Filling the Tank
1. Close the drain isolator and open the water feed isolator to fill the header tank.
2. Discard the first 8 bottles filled.
Bi-Monthly Maintenance - Sanitising the Header Tank (Every 2 Weeks)
- With the header tank full, add 30ml of Bio Guard and leave for 5 minutes (use appropriate PPE).
- Fill 4 bottles, one from each dispense tap (use a 750ml or 1 litre bottle), and discard this water.
- Spray Bio Guard around the dispense taps.
- Leave the system for another 10 minutes – display signage so no one attempts to use it.
- Empty the header tank to waste (see ‘Emptying the Header Tank’ above).
- Visually inspect inside the tank.
- If residue remains, remove with a clean cloth and spray the inside of the tank with Bio Guard.
- Refill the tank as above.
- Discard one full tank of water to waste.
- Refill the tank and commence bottle filling.
- Clean the pipework on the tank (can be removed and cleaned with pipe cleaners).
