With the EcoPure Waters’ filtration system we can produce our own great-tasting chilled and filtered water on demand. The water, still and sparking, is served in our own elegant bottles which are printed with the Hotel’s logo and a sustainability message. Now we’re serving our own water – which tastes as good as the water we previously bought-in – and we’re also promoting our own brand to our customers, which is a really neat solution.
The real story, however, lies in our cost savings. We’ve calculated the cost of producing our own water using the EcoPure system at around nine pence per bottle. This includes; the cost of the tamper-proof cap; staff costs for washing and filling the bottles; the energy used by the filtration system; and the cost of the water itself. We’re lucky to have our own water supply via a borehole, but even if we were using mains water it would add less than one pence per litre.
