Over the past 12 months, EcoPure Waters and InterContinental Edinburgh the George have successfully prevented 50,000 single-use plastic and glass bottles from ending up in nature or going into energy-intensive recycling processes. This accomplishment underscores Scotland’s growing commitment to sustainability and positions it as a trailblazer in environmental stewardship.

The partnership between EcoPure Waters and InterContinental Edinburgh the George features a double EcoPure Top Control water filtration system, complete with time-saving measured autofill and touch-screen technology. In addition, custom branded reusable glass litre and 750ml swing-stop bottles have been provided to supply bedroom water and communal areas throughout the hotel.
The announcement comes at an opportune time as we celebrate Plastic-Free July, a global movement which encourages us to become part of the solution to single-use plastic pollution. Over the last decade, EcoPure Waters has saved a monumental 20,000,000 single-use bottles from landfill and oceans, demonstrating the effectiveness of its initiative.
